Usahealthstore.info has the following to say about exertion headaches Some of the more serious headaches have to do with the blood vessels in the head. A headache after exercise could indicate an abnormality in the blood vessels themselves, or could warn you of a brain hemorrhage (or haemorrhage) (blood flow when blood vessels break). I’m … Continue reading

Usahealthstore.info has the following to say about exertion headaches

Some of the more serious headaches have to do with the blood vessels in the head. A headache after exercise could indicate an abnormality in the blood vessels themselves, or could warn you of a brain hemorrhage (or haemorrhage) (blood flow when blood vessels break).

I’m one to err on the side of safety, but let’s keep some healthy skepticism too.

Years ago I started getting these headaches in the weightroom. About the fourth or fifth time it happened, it hit so hard I dropped the weight, then dropped to the floor. I had to lay there a few minutes and reassure the other members and staff I’d be OK before I could even stand up and walk out of there.

At the time I had a bad habit of using webmd to self diagnose, and holy crap did I get a bad case of hypochondria from that. Long story short I read that my brain might be hemorrhaging and scheduled a doctor visit.

He gave me some pills to try, and did some blood work. The pills almost had me feint on a NYC subway the next morning and the blood work came with a surprise bill of almost 400 bucks three weeks later. He told me he wanted to run an MRI that wouldn’t be covered by my insurance.

What did I do?

I cut sugar out of my diet and started hydrating more. I backed off on heavy lifting til I felt confident those headaches weren’t coming back.

If you’re having these headaches, be cautious. See a pro, see a doctor. But be proactive. Look at your lifestyle and clean it up. Stop doing the things that cause the headaches til you feel like a new man, or a new woman. YOU are in control of your health.

It’s your Plantar Fascia - that’s the “meat” on the bottom of your foot. It can get tight, and that can affect the movement of your whole body, because your fascia connects in one solid piece all the way from your foot sole to the top of your head, no joke! Put one foot on a tennis ball (a golf ball is awesome if you’re feeling brave) and gradually put some weight on it. Move your foot around on it to get a great foot massage and loosen the tissue at the same time.

Like this:

Go where it feels best and do this consistently. Once a day should be enough, and in a few weeks let me know if your foot doesn’t spread out and feel bigger. What effect do you think that would have on your balance?
